Annual Community Food Drive

Thank you for what you have done, are doing and will do!  For many years, the Rev. Bettie Kennedy and many churches, ministers, companies, and individuals have teamed to raise funds to provide Thanksgiving Food Baskets for needy families in the East Texas area.

This outreach effort has grown significantly over the years.  In 1999, approximately 50 families were fed.  In the following years, the fake omega watches effort has grown significantly, and this year, we are delivering a Thanksgiving Basket to over 1,500 families.  The Rev. Kennedy and the Rev. Bob Lewis and others have been raising funds to feed needy families in the East Texas area for quite a while.

In past years, we have provided a turkey or ham and approximately (20-25) Thanksgiving meal staple items in each basket. This Outreach effort has been successful in crossing racial lines and boundaries, and has proven to be a rewarding experience for those who have participated by donating their time, money, and service to this Outreach.

We believe if you choose to attend or assist in this event, you may it to be very rewarding experience.  People from all walks of life work the event to lend a helping hand to families in need.

We are seeking donations to help fund the cost of the food supplies. Regardless of whether you decide to be a financial contributor, plan to attend. If you have young children, it is a great day for a life lesson by helping families in need.  We are hoping to raise funds from the local Community to fund this year’s Drive.
